All menus are reviewed and approved by registered nutritionists to ensure taste, nutrition and health. They are also designed in accordance with the food pyramid and are in full compliance with the standards of “Nutritional Guidelines on School Lunch for Primary Schools Students” issued by the Department of Health. Foods are primarily cooked by stewing, steaming, boiling and baking instead of frying and are cooked in the morning to ensure freshness and taste.
The ingredients and quantities follow the standard of "3 lows and 1 high"(low salt, low sugar, low fat and high fiber), with an emphasis on protein, iron, calcium and vitamin C. Apart from the ratio of multi-grains/vegetables/meat is in the proportion of 3:2:1, the portion sizes shall take care of the needs of consumers at different ages.
